Hi, Joan!! They say the first step to recovery is being able to admit the obsession, but I wouldn’t want you to recover from this one! Congrats on the blog!!! Love you…

I’ve always wondered about the “tunnel” idea. Where would it emerge on the island? Beetlebung Corner? The MV Airport? And, even more intriguing, where would it start from? Somewhere around New York would be good for Joanie, I expect. Perhaps the base of the Sagamore Bridge for “Codders” – well, it’s always been a fun thing to think about. Personally, I think it would be a wonderful experience to hot air balloon in from say Newport or rent a cat boat out of Westport. I’ve always loved the ferry and in days past the steamers. As Joanie pointed out, the time aboard is a wonderful transition time to change from off-islander to islander, and vice versa for the year-round islanders. Getting there if half the fun!

Hi Joan,
Thank you for visiting my blog and the invitation to visit yours. One of these days I will have to get to MV. All of your pictures and stories of your youth are so inviting. Thanks for sharing
