Where would it emerge on the island? Beetlebung Corner? The MV Airport? And, even more intriguing, where would it start from? Somewhere around New York would be good for Joanie, I expect. Perhaps the base of the Sagamore Bridge for "Codders" - well, it's always been a fun thing to think about. Personally, I think it would be a wonderful experience to hot air balloon in from say Newport or rent a cat boat out of Westport. I've always loved the ferry and in days past the steamers. As Joanie pointed out, the time aboard is a wonderful transition time to change from off-islander to islander, and vice versa for the year-round islanders. Getting there if half the fun!
