The beautiful interdenominational Union Chapel sits just off Circuit Ave in Oak Bluffs. It was built in 1871 and is now part of the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust properties.
It is octagonal in shape.
Union Chapel has a domed ceiling, a balcony around five sides and eight triangular windows emerging from the roof. It also has four entrances and a three tiered roof.
The 385 seat Union Chapel is a favorite place for weddings, concerts and meetings. It’s just another example of the stunning architecture found in Oak Bluffs and on Martha’s Vineyard.
