Commonly known in knitting and spinning circles (no pun intended) as, Rhinebeck. Deb and I set out at 7a.m. Saturday morning for our 2 hour drive.

Here we are within a half mile of the fairgrounds…this less than a half mile stretch took over a half hour. There are almost a jillion cars that are already there, and this is less than a half hour after the gates opened.
Despite the number of cars it really wasn’t too crowded yet. In less than an hour Deb had already made a few purchases and in the picture below, wearing a beautiful orange sweater she made, she’s being enticed, and won over by…
this…
to go along with these already purchased beauties…
and this basket to put everything in because almost everything matches it so how could she resist.
I myself might have made a purchase for someone’s upcoming birthday! Stay tuned in November to find out what it might be.
Rhinebeck is always fun even for a non-knitter like me.
We enjoyed the food… the sun, clouds, a couple of showers, the foliage and seeing friends.
Happy and tired we start our journey home… bye Rhinebeck until next year.
